Sweet Sour Coleslaw

  • 1 medium head cabbage, shredded.
  • 1 medium carrot, shredded.
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise.
  • 1/3 cup sugar.
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk.
  • 2 tbs lemon juice.
  • 4 1/2 tsp cider vinegar.
  • 1/2 tsp salt.
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper.


  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  2. Place the cabbage and carrot in a large bowl; add dressing and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least for 1 hour before serving.
