Six Layer Salad

Salad

  • 1 packet of mixed salad greens.
  • 1 cup tomatoes, chopped.
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese.
  • 1 can (15 oz.) green peas, drained.
  • 3 hard-cooked eggs, sliced.
  • 1 cup fully cooked cubed ham.
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion

Dressing

  • 1 large ripe avocado, peeled and sliced.
  • 1 cup (8 oz.) sour cream.
  • 2 tbs lemon juice.
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced.
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin.
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp salt.
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper.

Directions

  1. In a large glass bowl, layer salad ingredients.
  2. In a blender, combine the dressing ingredients; cover and process until smooth. Serve with the salad.
